Youth Movements
Strathfield Synagogue also served as a centre for Zionist youth movements. It thus provided their members with yet another reason to frequent an already familiar place. From the earliest days, Habonim and Betar both held weekly meetings in the classrooms and used the grounds for games and sports. The synagogue also had its own youth club. The Strathfield War Memorial Youth organised frequent social functions that attracted Jewish youth from all over the metropolitan area.
