The Final Years
Bird's Eye View
When the property went on sale, the estate agents placed an advertisement in the press. The property at 19 Florence Street, Strathfield consisted of the synagogue itself, the Isman hall, the Yolanda Kramer kindergarten and the minister’s residence. Click here for a unique aerial view of the entire property shortly before it was sold.
Seeking Consensus
Consensus is always
preferable to a court imposed settlement. In that spirit you are invited to click here to view a proposal
for distributing the assets of Strathfield Synagogue.
Preservation of the Synagogue's Records
Click here and here for images of some of the synagogue's documentary records which were deposited in the Archives of the State Library of NSW. These records will be retained for generations to come so that all members of the community can benefit from the Strathfield experience.

The Last Act
Click here for a moving account of the last service to be held at Strathfield Synagogue, on 31st August, 2013. The account appears on the website of J-Wire and was written by Josie Lacey. And now click here for the address delivered on the occasion by Rabbi Chaim Ingram. His message "We are what we are today because of all our yesterdays." surely must resonate for all those who were ever associated with Strathfield Synagogue and wish to preserve its heritage.
