Shabbatonim
During the 1970s Rabbi Mordechai Gutnick and his wife organized several shabbatonim. A shabbaton was a ceremonial event held on a Friday evening. It included the Erev Shabbat service and was supplemented by children’s songs, a candle lighting, kiddush, a communal meal and grace after meals. Printed programmes were produced for these festive occasions. Three of them can be viewed below. Read them to see how a shabbaton enriched the children’s lives.
