Memorabilia
Every barmitzvah boy was presented with a siddur by the president of the congregation. This sticker was affixed to the inside cover of each siddur presented.
The image at the top of the sticker was apparently taken from drawings prepared by the synagogue's architect, Hans Oser. Note that it depicts the façade of the building as it was originally completed.
Donation cards such as this were placed on each member's seat before the Kol Nidre service. Attached to the card was a string that could be threaded through one of the perforations to indicate the donor's contribution to communal funds. Statements such as this were issued regularly by the treasurer to remind members of moneys owed to the synagogue for annual membership, seat rental or offerings. Moneys received were recorded on a set of catalogue cards which also served as an alphabetical index of members. Click on the image to go directly to the Members' page.

Barmitzvah Presentation
It was customary for the president of the synagogue to present each Barmitzvah Boy with a siddur. The presentation was accompanied by the promise that it would be replaced when it was no longer usable. This one will eventually be given to a repository and later, perhaps, it will be buried. Until then, it is irreplaceable.
